--- AVATAR® BAY & BEYOND Newsletter ---
Hi , great to see you again!

In this newsletter’s exploration of qualities that create success, we can't help but include the faculty of intuition. Even though it can be defined many ways, we know that it is valuable and that Avatar is helpful in developing it. Here are a few interesting definitions of this quality:

Direct perception of truth, fact, etc., independent of any reasoning process; immediate apprehension.

The power of knowing or apprehending something directly, without learning it consciously or submitting it to processes of logic.

You are probably nodding your head in agreement. The definitions have been around for centuries. The words are really beyond dispute. We believe intuition does exist . . . for some. The words are true BUT how can we distinguish intuition from those unsolicited thoughts that just randomly pop into our minds? How can we learn to develop and trust it to successfully increase our self-worth and sense of accomplishment?"

We intuitively consulted with BrainyQuote.com, and found this quotation by Alan Alda.

"You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your
intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself."

We LOVED these words!  In ReSurfacing®, Section One of the Avatar Course, Harry Palmer proposes the distinction between word lessons and world lessons.

"There are word lessons, and there are world lessons. . . a word lesson is an expression of someone’s belief. A word lesson should not be confused with a world lesson.

A world lesson is something that you live through . . . and from the world lesson you  emerge changed, more experienced, wiser. A world lesson is an experience.  It does not require translation into symbols or sounds for you to remember it. It becomes part of what you know, how you define yourself to yourself. A word lesson seldom has this impact."

The ReSurfacing Workshop suggests we "Take a moment to consider:  What is the difference between eating an apple and studying what an apple tastes like?"

In case you find yourself interested in having an EXPERIENTIAL KNOWING of the many word lessons you believe and know are true . . . reply to this email, and I will join you in exploring the matter more fully.

Yes, your Avatar adventure does begin with word lessons that provide instructions on how to master the tools, but as you explore, they transform into personal world lessons YOU create by your participation. And as you practice the Avatar tools, you will free up the stuck places that occupy your mind, freeing up enough attention to allow intuition to flow and your success to grow.

Living with intuition is beyond any preconceived notion. It forms our connection to our higher consciousness and enables us to live in and navigate our way through an unpredictable world. We can tap into our feelings and make clearer, wiser decisions.

We invite you to turn the word lessons we have shared here into world lessons and "discover yourself in the wilderness of your intuition."
